With the announcement of Porsche's entry in the main category (LMP1) of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014, the future of Audi in endurance competitions became a mystery.
More recently, however, the Spanish Autoblog blog revealed to have received unofficial information that the Audi will not continue in 2014, avoiding a confrontation between the two brands of the Volkswagen Group.
Having discussed the issue with officials of the brand from Ingolstadt in recent days, the Spanish Autoblog received from some involved a series of ambiguous answers that do not confirm anything, but leave door open for speculation.
Indicate that it makes no sense that there is a duel between Audi and Porsche.

Audi A3
Audi A3
Audi A3 review
The Audi A3 is a lovely premium hatch that deserves the plaudits. No, it’s not the most exciting thing in the universe, but it works on almost every level. A bit on the pricey side compared to similar VW offerings though.
Audi A3 Comfort
Lovely isulation makes the Audi A3 a great motorway cruiser, but there’s not much space in the back for passengers. Also avoid the optional S-Line suspension and big wheels if you value your spine – they re-define the term ‘hard’.
Audi A3 Performance
Four petrols and two diesels eninas equiped the audi a3, including the 1.4-litre TFSI turbo-and-supercharged unit. Best compromises are the Golf GTI-engined (197bhp) 2.0-litre TFSI that hits 0-62mph in just over seven seconds or the higher-powered diesel models like the 2.0-litre TDI with 170bhp.

Audi cars history: August Horch and Müller Slytherin began in the late nineteenth century design for the construction of cars thereby gives rise to the founding of the Horch brand in spring 1899 in Zwickau, near the city of Chemnitz. In an almost dizzying pace for the season, the Horch produced five different models until 1909. This year, Horch, due to disagreements with the directors decided to abandon the project. How Horch lost the rights to the name of the company then created, had to rename the same but with another name. Horch elegantly sidestepped the issue, adopting as its own new brand name, but translated into Latin: Audi. Audi Q7 review
Audi Q7 Comfort
Air suspension makes light work of most stuff, but the Audi Q7 body control does come with some downsides – it can be a bit firm on UK roads. The bonus for that extreme exterior size is a humongous interior – you won’t be left wanting for space. Audi Q7 cruises sublimely.
Audi Q7 Performance
Three engines to choose from and all are brilliant. The 3.6-litre V6 has 276bhp, hits 62mph in 8.5 seconds and on to 143mph with 22.2mpg economy. The 4.2-litre V8 manages the same benchmark in 6.4 seconds and hits 146mph, and gets 25.4mpg. Pick of the bunch is the 3.0 TD diesel; that hits 62mpg in just over nine, 134mph and gets 27.2mpg. No dogs here, but the forthcoming 6.0-litre V12 diesel with 500bhp and 737lb ft should be fun.
Audi Q7 Handling
Remarkable for such a big car, the Audi Q7 manages to hustle with the best of them thanks to adjustable air suspension as standard across the range. Still big though, and you never quite forget it.
